Today celebrated our countries independence’s, with our yearly pop out. We take all the kids outside and let them do poppers. Then we had a small taste of Tonga. One of our BGMC recipes, made with coconut milk, brown sugar and bananas called Vaisiaine (Vy-see-eye-nay). It got mixed reviews, but I liked it.
Ephesians 5:19 tells us: “Make music in your heart to the Lord…always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ”
This is what we want to try to do– make music in our heart for GOD and always give thanks.
It is really harder than it sounds!

In the South Pacific Ocean is where you’ll find the Kingdom of Tonga. It’s made up of 170 islands, people live on 36 of them. Some of the islands are made up of volcanoes only, and some have never been explored. It’s called a kingdom because they have a king. The people are very friendly and enjoy celebrating all holidays. Most people live in wooden houses with tin roofs. Life in Tonga is a bit slower alot of people walk everywheres, unless you need to go by boat to get to another island.
The memory verse for today was : Deuteronomy 6:5 - “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strenght. ”
The Bible teaches us that we are not just supposed to love God a little, but as much as we can. We need to love Him all the time with our whole heart.
If we really love Him we will want to tell others about Him. How about showing our love for God by inviting somebody to church with us next Sunday?
Hey kids,
This last sunday was alot of fun. I know that some of you really enjoyed the Bangladesh food and then some of you really hated it! It’s always interesting to try food from another Country. So here is the question for the week, leave a comment and tell me what your favorite food has been this far. Was it the Egg Haloa from Bangladesh? Or the fruit from chilie? Or was it something from another week?
Waiting to hear back from you,
Debbie
1 Corinthians 8:1 tells us “knowledge puffs up, but love builds up”.
It does not matter how much knowledge we have, we need love.
Bangladesh has about 150 million people. Out of those 150 million people, over 8 out of 10 of them are Muslim.
The AG has 8 missionaries there that are trying to teach these and others in the country about Jesus.
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except thru me. John 14:6 One way, it’s not a popular thing now of days to tell people that there is only one way. People are wanting to get to heaven, but they want to get there their way. There is only one God, only one heaven, and only one way to get there. God took care of all the details but you have to follow the directions, thru Jesus .
God’s Word is better than the Energizer Bunny. In these times the whole world seems disposable. First came diapers then batteries, cameras, and now even phones. I remember a time when we had paper dresses. When you come across this scripture, it makes you think.
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words will never pass away.” Matthew 24:35
Things you might have now, won’t be with you later; people, places, and things (all nouns). But only Jesus’ words, the Word of God will be with us forever. Count on it!
Easter is one of my favorite holidays. This is the day we celebrate that Jesus rose from the dead.
That is what we talked about - the fact that Jesus rose from the dead so that we can be saved.
Does anybody remember what was in all twelve of the eggs?
It might be worth something Sunday if you can remember…
